It was pure gold for about a year, until it suddenly failed. Now when the amp is energized, it gives off these low pulsing tomes about once every second, and will not pump any actual audio. I used 4 gauge wire and got a good ground in my trunk floor. She's dead. =\I don't know if my amp failed due to my own abuse, improper installation, or a manufacturing defect. My only recommendation would be to keep it at 4ohms, maybe she will last longer for you than she did for me. Works great at 2 ohms and it can work 4 ohms too. Would recommend this product to anyone new to car audio since this is a great buy for the price and performance. The wattage on the actual unit is about 630 rms for 2 ohms, 390 rms about for 4 ohms and about 1400 watts for peak power at 2 ohms. Mtx has never let me down and package arrived very fast 1 day after purchacing 4-7 day shipping from [...].Pros: Solid amp, lots of wattage for the price, great features. Can play in winter or summer(i tested it out so far in winter in negative temps and it works great after it warms up).
